Richard Barlow - Physiotherapist & Director

Richard Barlow is a local, enthusiastic Physiotherapist. Richard lives in Thames with his wife Anna and young son Hugo. Graduating in 2014 from Auckland University of Technology, he has worked in private practice Physiotherapy as well as contracting to ACC for return to work programmes. Richard is a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand as well as Sports Physiotherapy New Zealand.

Richard has worked extensively with High School athletes; spending three years with Westlake Boys' High School 1st XV rugby and a year with Tauranga Boys' College 1st XV rugby. He was the Physiotherapist for Thames High School's 1st XV in 2019 and is currently the Physiotherapist for the Thames Rugby & Sports Club men's senior rugby team.

Richard enjoys providing a mixture of both hands on manual therapy and exercise based rehabilitation to ensure his patients not only recover from their injuries but have the best tools to prevent re-injury.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys staying active through basketball and running.

We can assist with a range of conditions and injuries including but not limited to pre/post-surgical rehabilitation, neck and back pain, headaches, shoulder and elbow injuries, hip and pelvic pain, knee and ankle injuries.
